Thunderbuck Committee

The Thunderbucks program, sponsored by the PTO, is an innovative initiative that provides students with a unique opportunity to earn and spend money in a positive behavioral support (PBIS) learning environment. The program operates as a store where students can utilize Thunderbucks, a form of currency earned for demonstrating positive behaviors, following school rules, and achieving academic milestones. Students accumulate Thunderbucks through various means, such as completing assignments, participating actively in class, displaying good citizenship, or showing acts of kindness. The store offers a wide array of enticing items, including school supplies, small toys, books, and other age-appropriate merchandise. By engaging in the Thunderbucks program, students learn valuable lessons about responsibility, financial literacy, goal-setting, and the intrinsic rewards of positive behavior. This program serves as an incentive for students to consistently exhibit positive conduct, fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment within the school.
